Must See & Do | Asheville, NC

Weekend Getaways are an essential in the dead of winter. Asheville has been on my bucket list for a while, and my university provides the perfect distance for a quick road trip. The city is known for its galleries, as well as the beautiful Biltmore Estates. I was taken back by the extraordinary cuisine and the character that Asheville holds.

DO:

The Biltmore Estate I would recommend coming during the offseason, such as mid January, or the spring as I have heard there can be large crowds.

The "Before I Die" Wall Right near Double D's Coffee & Desserts, this is the cutest spot to snap a picture.

STAY:

The Inn on Biltmore Estate If you are planning on touring the Biltmore, you couldn't be closer and transportation is complimentary. Check out the Villages while you are here. There is a great bakery called The Creamery and a few shops to stop in. Not to mention, a little petting zoo that is very kid friendly.

The Windsor Boutique Hotel Right in the heart of downtown, this is on my list for my next visit.

EATS:

Hole Doughnuts Okay, this place is highly rated for a reason. Best donut you'll ever have. Thank me later.

Bartaco If you love tacos, you'll highly enjoy this restaurant. The prices are very reasonable as well, between my boyfriend and I, we ordered 4 types of tacos, 2 sides, 2 drinks, a starter, and dessert and it was just $30 for the both of us. I'm waiting for them to open up a location near me at home!

Double D's Coffee & Desserts  This place is worth seeing, and a cup of coffee is perfect on a cold winter day. They have seasonal flavors as well as specialty drinks. Stop by and see a double decker bus straight from London, and grab a table on the second floor.

Curate RestaurantOver Easy Cafe These two spots are on my list for next time.
