Bootleg Denim

Surprisingly, getting out of my everyday skinny jeans was easier than I thought. For a while I could never find bootleg denim flattering on my body type. From Kendall Jenner to Gigi Hadid the mom jean trend is everywhere and it's a refreshing change. Skinny jeans will always be most popular among women's denim, but having a pair of bootleg or boyfriend jeans in rotation adds more variation among our wardrobes. On mild summer days, I love a good pair of denim that isn't tight on the body. My reasons being, comfort, but also the cropped fit to show off my summer sandals. I was in awe when I found this pair from Rebecca Taylor on sale that I had been eyeing for a while.

My go-to denim brands are Mother, Frame, 7 For all Mankind, and Jbrand. I've been more interested in Levi's recently because of the price point & styles (definitely opt for a size bigger than your normal size). The selection of Levi's at Free People is amazing to say the least. 

No matter your body type, I believe it's important to find the styles that you love and flatter your body type the most. I'd definitely recommend trying them on in store (I'm guilty of ordering online & having to exchange). 

I'm gonna go pull on some jeans now.
