Must See & Do | Nantucket, MA
Hello! Welcome to my Nantucket Guide!! I'm really excited about this one if you couldn't already tell. As my most recent trip was my third trip on the island, I felt it was time I shared a few of my favorite spots. This guide is just a taste of the island as there is a ton to do. Let's keep our fingers crossed that my next trip is not too far away, as this place is truly beautiful.
If you want a high quality cup of coffee, this is the place for you. Handlebar Cafe has an adorable little community space that is comfortable, cute, and smells of freshly grinned coffee beans.
Stop in for a cold brew and some local goods. The people at Siasconset Market are super sweet and will help you locate the perfect item. I would say the market is definitely a gem in the town of Siasconset, which is about a 10-15 minute drive from Main Street.
LUnCH & DINNER
The Nautilus was one of my favorite spots for dinner on the island. The asian fusion cuisine was incredible and there was not one dish that I tried that wasn't delicious. It is tapas style so expect to share, or of course you could have it all to yourself.
There's only a few places where you can enjoy dinner on the beach. The food at Galley Beach is exquisite. I would highly recommend having a fresh lobster roll here for lunch.
Here there is incredible Italian food, you have to try the zucchini blossoms! They have everything to fix your cravings from a savory pasta dish to a rich sirloin steak.
The sandwiches here are delicious to say the least. Grab an iced tea and sit outside in the sunshine. It is located right beside the Siasconset location of CJ Laing.
In town you'll find the cutest sandwich shop, Provisions. You can't go wrong with any option on the menu, which is why there is usually a long line around noon.
From coffee and breakfast, to lunch 45 Surfside was a crowd favorite. They have breakfast sandwiches on english muffins, and a great turkey sandwich called the Tom Brady. Stop by on your way to Surfside Beach.
The lovely truly is lovely. They have everything from colorful maxi dresses to chic skinny jeans. To make things better, there is a great paper & gift store beside it, along with Handlebar Cafe.
milly and grace
Find brands like Rebecca Taylor, Rails, Joie, and much more at Milly & Grace. Stop by on your way to the Juice Bar.
Murray's Toggery Shop
This has got to be on every single Nantucket Guide, but this place is truly iconic. I usually find more options for men, but it's worth a trip in to see the original Nantucket red shorts.
For your summer essentials, CJ Laing is perfect for the preppy meets bohemian girl. There is one located in town and another (but smaller) boutique in Sconset.
Ever since my first trip on the island when I discovered Letarte, I've loved their swimsuits. I still have my bikini from 5 years ago and it still holds its quality.
For basics and straw bags, Zero Main has something for every age (20-60). My grandmother found a bunch of clothes here and I purchased the most adorable navy blue jacket and straw bag.
Peter beaton hat studio
I purchased my first Peter Beaton hat back in 2013 and it has retained it's spot in my closet as my favorite hat. I came back this trip and opted to switch my navy ribbon for a light blue gingham.
I've ordered Southern Tide online for years, and it's totally new to me to actually be in a Southern Tide store! It opened this summer on the island and trust me everyone in my family stopped in.
There are some beautiful historic homes in this area. Plus, you'll find a CJ Laing, the bluff walk, and Claudette's for a perfect lunch spot. Be sure to bring along your camera!
sankaty head lighthouse
Located just a few minutes from the main town of Siasconset, Sankaty Head Lighthouse is beautiful on any kind of day.
take a stroll on galley beach
Located right outside Galley Beach restaurant is one of the prettiest beaches with it's bright umbrellas. Be warned however, there are private beaches on both sides of the resturant, so don't venture off too far.
Walk through the historic district
The rental home my family stayed at was just a few minutes from town, and our walk took us through the Historic District, a beautiful area that'll bring you through rose covered homes and tall pieces of history.
Grab ice cream at the juice bar
This ice cream really lives up to all expectations. It has been named in the top 10 best ice cream places in the country. My favorite was the cookies and cream but I've heard the chocolate chip cookie dough is incredible was well!
