Must See & Do | Georgetown
After spending the summer in the heart of Georgetown, I’ve discovered there is so much to explore. Aside from the quaint, manicured gardens along every street, there are countless stores along M Street such as Aritzia, Reformation, Outdoor Voices (just to name a few), yummy restaurants, and stunning museums. If you are visiting the Washington, DC area, Georgetown is a must see spot. I’ve gathered up my favorite must see places to stay, eat, drink & explore.
WHERE TO STAY:
The Graham Hotel
Located in the heart of Georgetown, with a town favorite rooftop bar.
The Four Seasons
Beautiful amenities and the best brunch, located right on Pennsylvania Ave NW.
WHERE TO EAT:
Chaia Tacos
These veggie based tacos are delicious and guilt free.
Leopold’s Cafe
A yummy European fare, tucked behind the shops of Georgetown with the cutest outdoor patio.
Neopol Savory Smokery Georgetown
A great lunch spot with great sandwich and bagel options. If you love lox, this is the place for you.
South Block
Smoothies, juices and bowls for every craving located steps from Neopol.
Sweetgreen
An original DC favorite, featuring (my favorite) fresh salads and casual dining.
il Canale
When you’re craving authentic Italian, this place won’t disappoint.
& Pizza
This chain pizza restaurant is known for their creations, and they didn’t disappoint.
Georgetown Cupcake
Even if you’re not a fan of the TLC TV show, the cupcakes lived up to the hype.
Sprinkles
There is no shortage of cupcakes in DC, but Sprinkles has the best red velvet in my opinion.
WHERE TO GRAB COFFEE
Cafe Georgetown
The beautiful cafe is straight out of Europe, and encourages conversation (and amazing coffee).
Compass Coffee
A great spot for a nitro cold brew or specialty coffee drink, located right on Wisconsin Ave.
Blue Bottle Coffee
If you’re a coffee enthusiast like myself, you have to stop at Blue Bottle for a latte.
Bluestone Lane
The Australian coffee house serves incredible lattes and avocado toast.
Grace Street Coffee
From a classic latte to tea, the quality is noticed. They also make great latte art.
WHAT TO DO
Dumbarton Oaks
The beautiful property is worth an afternoon stroll, just look at the pictures above!
Georgetown Waterfront
A breath of fresh air during those hot summer days, with a variety of waterfront restaurant options.
